Thanksgiving is a Canadian holiday and Canada is a land of hope built on a foundation of freedom and equality. We should never take for granted the things that make our country great, such as Medicare, labour laws, health and safety protections, quality public services and much more. These victories were obtained by long fights led by workers, who, through the labour movement, stood up against the regressive political and economic elites of their time.

As we remember the past generations who toiled to build our nation, CUPE New Brunswick invites you to thank the working men and women who stand up today to make Canada more just and fair for all.
